Thomas Pullano is a senior broadcast journalism major at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Thomas got his start at WMUC Sports just weeks into his freshman year by cohosting a weekly sports talk radio show, “DC Chillin”, with his friend Michael Errigo. Along with hosting a talk show his freshman year, Thomas also broadcasted women’s lacrosse and covered the team for the WMUC Sports News Department. Thomas is especially proud to have had the privilege to broadcast the women’s lacrosse team’s national championship victory over Syracuse in Towson, Maryland last year. As a sophomore, Thomas has broadcasted men’s soccer, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball, and he has covered news for the football team.
Although Thomas was born and raised in Maryland, he was brainwashed as a child by his dad, who is a Western New York native, to be a diehard Buffalo sports fan. While rooting for the Bills and Sabres has been tough his entire life, Thomas continues to remain optimistic and still BILLIEVES that next year will be the year the Bills end their playoff drought. With there being no Buffalo professional basketball or baseball teams, Thomas is a diehard supporter of the Washington Wizards and Washington Nationals. Along with those pro teams, Thomas loves the Terps and is excited that the men’s basketball team seems poised to end its NCAA tournament drought and finally make it back to the big dance in March.
