There are many interesting things that we must look at heading into the Terp’s final road game this season. Michigan, who started their season off (2-4), has now won three of its last four and Maryland, who started off (4-1) has only won two out of its last five games.
The Terps have only one loss on the road this season, however, they play their final road game in one of the biggest stadiums in college football, and on the Wolverine’s senior day no less.
This tough task ahead of Maryland could not come at a more opportune time; the Terps, at the beginning of the season, were projected to be next to last in the Big Ten. Now, the Terps have established themselves as an upper-middle pack team of the Big Ten and look to make a statement in the remaining games. Maryland, being bowl eligible, has a tremendous opportunity to make a lasting statement in their inaugural Big Ten season by ending their season (8-4).
However there is tremendous pressure on the Terp’s offense this weekend, especially on quarterback C.J. Brown. Brown has had below average performances in his past few games, but has always remained strong on the road as the Terrapins look to go 5-1 away from Byrd Stadium this season.
The main key to the game will be shutting down the Michigan defense and getting the Maryland offense going early.
