Maryland softball (5-4) is facing the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-4) for a three game series in Florida. The Terps are coming off a series win of 2-1 against the Purdue Boilermakers (3-6) and the Hawkeyes are coming off a series win of 3-0 against the Penn State Nittany Lions (0-9).
The first two games today are a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m. EST. Fans can tune in on the Big Ten Network Plus.
The Terps have been on a roll with sophomore pitcher Trinity Schlotterbeck recording her fourth win. Freshman outfielder Jaeda McFarland has been helping offensively with four hits, four RBIs and a stolen base against the Purdue Boilermakers. Look out for junior infielder Taylor Okada who recorded five hits and a RBI against the Boilermakers.
Iowa senior pitcher Sarah Lehman completed and won game one and three against the Nittany Lions. Lehman recorded five strikeouts in game one and another five in game three. Sophomore outfielder Nia Carter had a total of six hits and two runs against Penn State while freshman utility player Denali Loecker recorded four hits and three RBIs.
This matchup will be something fans will not want to miss.
