The Maryland Terrapins blanked Old Dominion University Wednesday, 1-0, in Norfolk, Va., for their second consecutive shutout game. The Terps’ Anna Dessoye was the deciding factor for the contest, scoring the only goal off a rebounded penalty corner shot by Sarah Sprink with about 15 minutes of play remaining.
Maryland goalkeeper Sarah Holliday made two saves in her 10th win of the season, and the Terps outshot Old Dominion 11-4 overall. With the win, the Terps move to 12-3 on the season and 5-0 in Big Ten play.
The Terps will look to maintain their clean Big Ten record when they take on Rutgers on Sunday, Oct. 18, in Piscataway, N.J.
