No. 5 Maryland Lacrosse won their fifth straight game Tuesday evening, defeating Penn 13-8.
Colin Heacock and Matt Rambo led the Terps with three goals a piece, while Dylan Maltz, and Bryan Cole had two goals each.
Penn came out early to taking 2-0 lead on the Terps just two minutes in, however the Terps would score four unanswered goals leading 4-2 with five minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Penn would cut the Terps to lead in the second quarter, but goals from Cole, Heacock, and Rambo and would give Maryland a 10-6 lead going into the half.
Heacock would score the Terps first goal of the second half, increasing the lead to 11. Two more goals scored by Cole and Rambo would give the Terps their fifth win of the season and improve their overall record to 6-2.
Terps start Big Ten play on Saturday and will look to extend their win streak as they face Michigan. Tip off starts at 1 p.m.
