In their first road game of the season, the Maryland women’s basketball team beat George Washington 75-65.
Laurin Mincy led the team with 23 points, the majority of which came in the second half. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough also had an impressive game, contributing 16 points for Maryland.
The Terps went into the half only up by five after a first half filled with turnovers from both teams.
Center Brionna Jones led the team with seven rebounds and fouled out of the game late in the second half. Center Malina Howard added six rebounds of her own.
Overall, Maryland shot 45 percent in the game. With this win, the team improves to 4-0 in the first weeks of the season. The Terps return home Monday night to face Loyola (Md.) at 7:00pm.
