Maryland women’s basketball won big on the road Thursday night defeating Michigan 91-65. This win was the 12th straight victory for No. 5 Maryland. The Terps came out strong, winning the tip and jumping out to a 9-0 lead within the first 90 seconds of the game. The team remained in the lead throughout the game.
Laurin Mincy led the team with 24 points while Shatori Walker-Kimbrough contributed 20 points. Lexie Brown had 14 points and eight assists. Brionna Jones got her 7th double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The No. 5 Terps return home this weekend where they will face No. 20 Iowa Sunday afternoon in a conference game. With this win, the Maryland improve to 18-2 overall (9-0 Big Ten).
