The Terrapins extended their win streak to 6-0 Saturday when they faced the Howard Bison in the DC Classic. Maryland convincingly won the first set, beating the Bison 25-14.=
They continued to show their strength into the second set, earning them the win with a 25-17 score. The Terps have greatly improved on taking control of the matches and keeping their foot on the pedal without letting up. However, in the third set, after Howard scored the first point, the first time they did in the match, it was the Bison who did not let up, taking the fourth set with a 25-19 score. The strength Howard showed in the third set however was not enough as Maryland won the fourth and final set of the match.
The Terps won the set 25-17, and winning the match 3-1. Maryland will continue in hopes of keeping their win streak alive as they host the finale of the DC Classic Sunday where they face the West Carolina Catamounts and the George Mason Patriots.
