Despite the road setting and a slow offensive start, the Maryland Terrapins baseball team was able to sneak past Liberty Wednesday night in Lynchburg, Va.
The Terps spread out their production with the bats, scoring once in the fourth, one in the fifth, once in the sixth, and three times in the ninth to seal the win. Kengo Kawahara had two RBIs for Maryland and Kevin Martir went two for four at the plate.
Liberty’s Alex Close was dealt the loss while Terps slinger Zach Morris was granted the win in relief, moving him to 3-1 on the season. Maryland will host Cal State Fullerton (19-16) Friday night in College Park.
