By Krista Bliumentalis

The Maryland Terrapins fell to the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday afternoon, leaving them with a nine game losing streak.

The Terps are now 7-10 in the season, and still have not tasted their first Big Ten victory (0-6).

Maryland managed to start the game with a block, however, that was quickly countered by Wisconsin with a 6-1 run. The Terps made five service errors, letting the Badgers take the first set with a 25-14 victory.

The Terrapins managed to tie the game at five points in the beginning of the second set. The Badgers fought back, exchanging points with the Terps, and eventually capitalized on attack errors made by Maryland that gave them a second match win of 25-17.

In the third set the Terrapins held an early lead by scoring off of multiple service aces. Ultimately, Wisconsin pulled ahead and sealed their victory by winning the set 25-14.

Junior Emily Fraik led the Terrapins with 10 kills Sunday afternoon, while sophomore setter Carlotta Oggioni contributed 13 assists.

This weekend the Terps look to end their losing streak as they return home for Maryland Madness on Friday, where they will play Michigan State. On Saturday, the Terps will host Michigan.
